Jenna Greene
For those of us lucky enough to call Abingdon and the Tri-Cities home, Jenna Greene needs no introduction. She's not just part of the local music scene—she is the scene. The gravitational creative force behind the indie/alternative band Orbital Planes and the mastermind behind some of the best open mic nights in the area, Jenna is a musical renaissance woman whose work speaks to the heart of our community.
Stylistically, Jenna's music is a delightful fusion of millennial indie vibes, contemporary pop sensibilities, and a charming dash of '50s rock 'n' roll doo-wop. Her sound manages to feel both nostalgic and refreshingly modern, a testament to her genuine love for music. And she doesn't just play it—she lives it. Whether she's breaking into a repertoire of throwback covers that can engage listeners across generations or pouring her soul into original tracks, Jenna's performances are nothing short of magnetic.
Her artistry truly shines in her songwriting, where she tackles themes of heartbreak, mental health, and self-doubt with an honesty that resonates deeply. That courage didn’t come easily. Initially hesitant about sharing her deeply personal lyrics, Jenna found her stride with Orbital Planes, a band that has become her creative home. Together, they’ve struck a captivating balance.
Live, Jenna is spellbinding. Her authenticity is on display through her wide vocal range, which dances effortlessly between rich mid-range tones and soaring highs. Her voice carries the kind of texture that makes every performance feel intimate, even in the largest of crowds.
Whether she's jamming with the gang at Tumbling Creek Cider Company or holding her own at bigger festivals, Jenna Greene is constantly evolving—and so is her reach. She's not just an artist; she’s a pioneer who has left an indelible mark on the Appalachian indie music scene.

Ryan Adkins
"Ryan Adkins is a songwriter born and raised in Appalachia who grew up absorbing the culture and heritage of the region. Embracing the areas’ musical traditions and their inspirations, he fell into writing songs of his own with these influences imprinted on his alternative folk style. Ryan’s music forces the listener to taste the bitterness of life, allowing one to reflect on internal strife and loneliness while also feeling the weight of hope, grace, and powerful love that is found in the darkest corners of day-to-day life."
